Engines Roared & the Crowd Buzzed!

Here’s what was said about the 2019 HOT COPPER CAR SHOW…

Had a great time, may I suggest that you have awards for both stock and modified cars in the same class. I’m in the modified class, which most of the winners were and would like to see some stock cars win also. Thanks again you put on a great show. I will be suggesting to our club that we come as a group and would like your suggestions on where to stay in the area, since we will be traveling over 5 hours to get there. Again thanks for your hospitality.

YOUR CAR SHOW WAS GREAT!!! YOUR VOLUNTEERS WERE INCREDIBLE!!!

This was one of the best run car shows we have attended. You made it so fun for those of us that brought cars. The people serving the food were amazing. They were so organized and there was no wait. Good food for a good price. We ate both breakfast and lunch there.

YOUR CAR SHOW WAS GREAT !!! YOUR VOLUNTEERS WERE INCREDIBLE!!

You know this is a great show and well attended from near and far. I had a friend drive from Truckee down for it as well as two from Sacramento and one from Castro Valley, had a nice party the night before at my house and a car show in my driveway.

Lots of folks really liked the look of the dash plaques and the shirts were well done. The parking attendants like all the other volunteers were helpful and friendly?

The food and drinks were good. People were friendly.

Had a good time at this years car show. Overall everything else was A ok. Hope to see you again next year.

I don’t do many car shows as I am not good at sitting around all day, but I thought the car show was terrific. We (the other drivers that came with us) all ate both breakfast and lunch from the Lions food area and we all thought the food was good, reasonably priced and timely. As a former Rotarian, I know the work that goes into coordinating an even like this so I say congratulations on a job well done. I have no complaints only compliments. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make this a success.

I honestly thought that the show was terrific! It was our first time to the Copper show and we are making plans for the 20th anniversary show. Breakfast was great, bloody mary’s were yummy, weather was perfect and the people you all had helping run the event were so friendly and genuinely nice to us. See you next year if not sooner.

Excellent job from all who set up and participated in show and that includes the volunteers. Don’t mess with it it’s great..

I really enjoyed the show………..got to see lots of great cars, and visit with old friends I hadn’t seen in awhile.

Thanks so much for a great day and a really fun show! This was my first year to go and i will definitely go again next year! The only thing that I would recommend would be that since the outcome was the biggest so far, that you may want to do is open up the trophies to current generations vehicles! I seen some nice 70’s and 80’s vehicles.

We all had a great time there looking forward to next year ???

Hundreds roll up to Hot Copper Car Show

Calaveras Enterprise by Dakota Morlan May 9, 2019
Car lovers came out in droves for the 2019 Hot Copper Car Show, with more than 300 classic, candy-colored and custom cars packed into the lots surrounding the Copperopolis Town Square, and hundreds more spectator vehicles parked alongside Little John Road and spilling onto Highway 4.
The show featured a wide range of rides, from souped-up Model T’s to cutting-edge hybrids, with many entrants driving for hours to vie for the Best of Show title. This year’s winner was a metallic orange ’55 Chevrolet Nomad, owned by Ron Pfisterer of Castro Valley.

Since 2000, the Hot Copper Car Show has been a favorite among Northern California car enthusiasts, competing in popularity with the American Graffiti Festival in Modesto and the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance in Murphys.
Organized by the Lake Tulloch Lions Club, this event raises funds for “anything that helps Copperopolis,” including student scholarships, donations to the fire department and the lunch at the annual Veterans Day parade.

I enjoy the show very much. I go to about 20 each year. Yours was as well run as any I have gone to. Each year members run out of time in life and so these shows mean a lot to all of us. I do hope you post pictures and winning pictures as well. Thank you for the great time.
